On April 15, 1912 the Titanic left Southampton, England on its maiden voyage across the Atlantic Ocean. Later that night, after failing to divert its course, it struck and iceberg and sank the following morning. At the time, the Post Standard’s headlines were filled with news about the Titanic as more and more information was brought to light.
