CNY Genealogical Society: Land Records

Join the Central New York Genealogical Society as they discuss the use use of maps and old property and land records to trace the ownership of property back to the first grants in Onondaga County. The discussion will include military grants as well as some history of a Revolutionary War and a Civil War veterans. This month’s featured presenter is Roger Pape, a hobby genealogist who emphasizes the use of online records and maps in his research. He maintains several genealogy related websites and has posted a number of family trees on the web.
