Film and Lecture by Steven Newcomb on the Doctrine of Discovery

On September 12th from 7 – 9 pm, the Skä·noñh- Great Law of Peace Center will host Steve Newcomb (Shawnee/Lenape), a recognized, leading Indigenous scholar who has studied and educated about the doctrine of Christian discovery for decades. As a dedicated Historian specializing in Indigenous Law, for this event, he will “Decode the Doctrine of Christian Discovery” both in person and through a film screening of a video which he co-produced titled The Doctrine of Discovery: Unmasking the Domination Code.
