Colleen Kania joined Onondaga Historical Association in February 2023 as the Director of Finance and
Administration. She has a Bachelor’s degree in accounting and has dedicated the past twenty plus years of her career to the nonprofit sector as a financial and human resource executive. Her career has included working for organizations dedicated to providing mental health resources to families, fighting poverty, advocating for individuals with disabilities, healing victims of violence and empowering young girls to have confidence, courage, and character.
Colleen is an active volunteer in her community and is currently serving on the Tully Central School
District Board of Education. She has also served on the Society for Human Resource Central New York
Chapter’s Diversity Equity and Inclusion Committee, was the treasurer for the Tully Elementary Music
Association, and coached for the Apple Valley Little League.
Outside of work, Colleen enjoys spending time with her family and 3 beautiful Golden Retrievers. She
loves the outdoors and enjoys gardening, hiking, building sand castles, snowshoeing, and crafting.
