Launch of Beneath the Surface: The Storied History of Onondaga Lake at the Palace Theatre – SOLD OUT

$20.00 – $100The film, Beneath the Surface: The Storied History of Onondaga Lake, covers the amazing history of the lake and the remarkable impact it has had on our American Way of Life over the past six centuries. From the birthplace of the Great Law of Peace and the great Haudenosaunee Confederacy, the first representative democracy in the west, to the production of the country’s largest supply of some of its most important commodities and innovative products, to the Resort Era and the WPA project that built Onondaga Lake Park, to the most polluted lake in America, to one of the largest Superfund Clean-up sites in history, to a tourist attraction and the center of economic, cultural, recreational, educational, and natural development in our community.
The launch will take place January 20th, 2017 at the Palace Theatre in Syracuse’s Eastwood neighborhood.
There will be a VIP reception prior to the screening of the film beginning at 5:30 pm, which includes an open-bar cocktail-hour, dinner, and VIP seats to view the film as well as the after party. Tickets for the film screening and after party are $20 and can be purchased below until 3:00pm January 20th.
The remainder of tickets will be available at the door, but quantities will be limited.
The film will begin at 7:30 pm.
